Shanese Tashaun Hibbler is a native of Chicago, Illinois. Shanese completed her master’s degree in Clinical Professional Counseling Psychology at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. She has over 15 years of clinical experience across a variety of settings including crisis intervention, structured outpatient programs, inpatient psychiatric, nonprofits, partial hospitalization programs, psychiatric nursing homes, group homes, virtual mental health consulting, and counseling, and now independent contracting for private practice.  Shanese has also taught a variety of psychology and social work-related classes at National Louis University, Adler University, East West University, Chicago State University, and local community colleges in the Chicagoland area. She has provided clinical and supervision to masters leveled student interns in practicum classes and professional work environments.
Shanese’s approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and the provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Services can include individual, couples, family, and group therapy across the lifespan. Shanese is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Crisis Intervention. She continues to seek ongoing updates to her skills and knowledge base. Shanese is invested in an approach emphasizing a more integrative, dynamic, and holistic approach to mental health. She is known throughout multiple community volunteer organizations, including but not limited to Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated and the Order of the Eastern Star–Prince Hall Affiliation. However, her sole passion is reading, writing, inspiring, and motivating others. Shanese enjoys attending church, spending time learning about the things of God in Christian faith, learning, exploring, researching, and writing, mentoring, watching the food network and home improvement shows. She is a Survivor! Her goal is to write multiple books that will encourage, inspire, and uplift children, adolescents, and young adults to pursue their dreams in life daily and make them a reality.
