Ms. Sapek is a current counselor-in-training who is working toward her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is concurrently completing a certificate in Trauma-Informed Care and is expected to graduate in August of 2024. Ms. Sapek received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychological Sciences from Purdue University.

Ms. Sapek has clinical experience working with both adults and children in an outpatient setting. She is passionate about addressing mental health concerns including, but not limited to, crisis, substance use, trauma, sexual offending, domestic violence prevention, codependency, stress management, self-esteem, social skills/communication, anxiety and depression, borderline personality, and autism.

Ms. Sapek’s goal is to create a nonjudgmental environment where she will hold space for the client’s unapologetic and authentic self. She values an egalitarian therapeutic relationship where the client feels welcomed, seen, respected, supported, empowered, heard, and valued. She is known for her unconditional positive regard, calming demeanor, and awkwardness which she will gladly embrace during sessions.

Ms. Sapek takes an individualized and holistic approach to counseling. She believes in finding the connection between a client’s physical, psychological, and emotional health. She emphasizes the client is the expert of themselves and allows the client to guide their counseling journey in a direction most important to them. Ms. Sapek believes in using a trauma-informed lens and integrates various clinical modalities: Person-Centered, Strength-Based, Acceptance Commitment, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. If these approaches do not align with a client’s needs and wants, she will always strive to fit the client sitting in front
of her. Ms. Sapek wants the prospective client to know they will be her priority during sessions. She looks forward to meeting you!
