Ms. Hendrickson offers expertise in Clinical Counseling with a specialty in Addictions.  She is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor with over nine years of experience working in mental health and addiction treatment. She has worked with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings, including correctional facilities, residential facilities, and community mental health.  Ms. Hendrickson is experienced in utilizing motivational enhancement, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, harm reduction, and mindfulness-based relapse prevention methods.

 

Recognizing self-improvement is a lifelong journey, she aims to help clients bridge the gap between their current situation and how they would like to live in the future. Her approach to treatment focuses on the relation between thoughts, feelings, and behavior.  We are all prone to false assumptions, misconceptions, and unfounded beliefs and Ms. Hendrickson works to help clients develop a more hopeful and accurate self-image. By increasing awareness of the mind-body connection, she aims to help her clients improve stress response, change destructive patterns of behavior, and improve overall well-being.
