Erika Atkinson is a licensed social worker who has received her master’s in social work from The University of Southern California and her Bachelor of Art in Multidisciplinary Studies from The University of Texas at El Paso. She has experience in working in an inpatient, residential, group, and outpatient setting. Erika is trained in EMDR, a model of therapy that is widely regarded as one of the best and most effective in the treatment of PTSD, phobias, anxiety and other psychological conditions. She also has training in Military Culture, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Problem Solving Therapy, Strengths Focused Brief Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. Erika is passionate about providing a safe environment of comfort, non-judgement, and understanding in order to provide focus on a client led experience.
