Courtney Olsen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University in Georgia, as well as a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University Chicago. Courtney’s experience in the mental health field ranges from providing applied behavioral analysis (ABA) for children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other intellectual and developmental delays, to providing direct counseling care services for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, behavioral challenges, and mood disorders. Courtney specializes in working with children and adolescents facing behavioral challenges, working individually with the child or adolescent, as well as with their caregivers to develop behavioral plans that fit their needs.

Courtney’s counseling approach includes building and maintaining a therapeutic relationship with her clients by taking a person-centered, strengths-based approach to help guide and empower positive change. Her work includes, but is not limited to, Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and other therapeutic intervention strategies. Courtney believes that with cognitive and behavioral modifications, along with positive reinforcement and a supportive environment, clients and their families can improve their quality of life.
