Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
Hello, I am Sherri and I am a dedicated mental health counselor with a passion for empowering all clients on their journey to healing and growth. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Purdue University and a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in crisis and trauma treatment from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. With a specialized focus on trauma and crisis, I use a person centered approach to create a warm and supportive therapeutic environment.
Having experience in trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and mindfulness techniques, I am committed to helping clients navigate through the complexities of their experiences and emotions. Whether it is anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, weight management, medical trauma, conduct issues, self-harming behavior or addictive behavior, I strive to empower clients to discover their inner strengths and unlock their full potential, fostering lasting positive change.
Through empathic listening, tailored treatment plans, and evidence-based interventions, I strive to foster a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings and develop essential skills for emotional wellbeing. I am dedicated to supporting the mental health of my clients of all ages and I am driven by a profound belief in the power of healing and transformation.
When you work with me you will find an advocate and caring guide, ready to walk beside you on your path towards healing, growth and resilience. So how can I support and encourage you today?
