Dr. Misty Hatch is a Nationally Board-Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Indiana and Illinois. She received a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision and a M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, from nationally accredited programs. Dr. Hatch has practiced, supervised, researched, and taught in a variety of areas of mental health and wellness. She has experience working with individuals & groups regarding issues including substance use, grief, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, trauma, veteran population, corrections population, and intimate partner violence.
Dr. Hatch has clinical experience in various settings and populations, including, incarcerated adults, crisis intervention, structured outpatient substance use program, and nonprofit. In her practice, Mrs. Hatch uses a diverse approach when working with her clients, often pulling from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, and trauma-informed modalities.
Dr. Hatch is a visiting professor at Valparaiso University in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program. She is also a certified yoga instructor (RYT-200) through Yoga Alliance and teaches trauma-informed yoga. She has presented nationally and internationally on the role of yoga in trauma and counseling.
