He is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor (LCAC), Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and is licensed in Illinois as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). In addition to these credentials, Jason completed a two-year training in Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy (a mindfulness-based technique) and has participated in numerous mindfulness and meditation workshops and retreats.

Jason has worked in the mental health field for over 20 years, with more than 15 of those years as a licensed therapist. Throughout this time, he has provided services in a variety of settings, including serving as Executive Director of Cary Home for Children in Lafayette, IN, providing counseling at community centers, consulting as Mental Health Director at Lake County Jail, offering supervision and instruction to master’s counseling students and pre-licensed therapists, running residential and outpatient addictions groups, and leading mindfulness and meditation workshops throughout Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan. He has also spent over 15 years counseling clients in private practice.

These experiences have given Jason the opportunity to work with clients across the lifespan—from children and adolescents to adults—in individual, family, and group settings. He has supported clients through various life challenges, including attention, emotional, and behavioral issues in children; identity and maturity struggles in adolescence; and adult concerns such as relationship and communication issues, addiction, anxiety, and depression.

In his counseling approach, Jason meets clients where they are, helping them increase self-awareness, clarify their goals, and build the skills necessary to make meaningful change—not only during therapy, but long after. He strives to provide a grounded, mindful, and safe environment while offering honest and compassionate guidance as clients navigate their path toward wellness.
