Trauma-Informed Care

Ms. Carole Feist earned her MA in Clinical Counseling from Valparaiso University.  Ms. Feist currently approaches therapy with elements of person-centered therapy, reality/choice theory, existential therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy.  Additionally, she has therapeutic interests in internal family systems therapy, EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), polyvagal theory, wilderness and adventure therapy, therapeutic yoga, trauma-informed approaches, and more.

Her passions include incorporating diet/nutrition, exercise, and nature into a holistic and integrative approach to mental health.  She believes that there is no ‘one size fits all’ therapy; therapy is individualized based on the client and their needs, which may even change over the course of therapy.  One of the core foundations of Ms. Feist’s approach is providing a safe space for client’s to express themselves and their inner world.
