Ms. Samardzich is a graduate of Valparaiso University where she received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, graduating with the highest distinction. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA). She is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation and coached professional women around work/life balance issues for nine years in private practice. As a counselor, she has worked with adolescents struggling with depression, anxiety, and behavior issues and with adults in addiction treatment.
Ms. Samardzich is a humanistic therapist, believing that all her clients have the capacity to make positive changes in their lives. She uses different types of therapy to help each client with their unique challenges. She uses Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness. She also believes in the importance of continuing education. She recently received the Certified Trauma Professional certification and is studying more about Internal Family Systems.
Her area of specialty is working with women and adolescent girls around depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, life transitions, and more. She believes that her clients can use their strengths and resources to transform their lives.
