Amanda is a graduate of DePaul University where she received her Master of Education degree in School Counseling. She took two additional courses which has given her the opportunity to pursue her LPC licensure. Amanda has experience working in schools, camps and other agencies working with youth through a trauma-informed and equity centered lens. She is excited to engage with clients at Pillars integrating narrative therapy and feminist theory into sessions. Amanda finds providing a safe and affirming space for clients to explore and reshape their identity to be the most important aspect of her journey with clients.

Amanda specializes working with teens, members of the LGBTQ+ and queer community, family systems and young adults. She uses a variety of frameworks to support her clients through their therapeutic process. These include and are not limited to: Internal Family Systems Model, DBT, CBT, Health at Every Size and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She believes that each person’s mental health journey is different and should be treated as such. There are many factors that contribute to where we are today entering therapy, it’s important to honor where we’ve been and equally important to acknowledge how far we’ve come and where we will continue to grow.

She assists individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, relationship struggles, identity issues, body acceptance, body image struggles, life transitions and working toward radical self love. She looks forward to working with you on your journey.
